Cozy upscale venue with thoughtful decor, a solid walnut bar, live music, mellow vibe, and great atmosphere. Substantial collection of Bourbons, but cocktails, wine and more. Friendly hosts and clientele ensure a pleasant visit.

Haven't been to Rushville in 20 years. I was surprised to find such an upscale place. Great selection of Bourbon and spirits. The place had a great vibe, was filled with history, and has a unique cigar room and piano to top it off. It is definitely the nicest place for good spirits in that town.

I can't say enough good things about this place and the owner. It is a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere in a historic building featuring old photos of Rushville. They have a wonderful bourbon selection and great cocktails. There was no music when we visited, but front and centered is a grand piano. There is also a cigar lounge that looks wonderful and I can't wait to come back and visit. This is a must visit!

Great atmosphere, a very large selection of a bourbon. just about anything you might think you like in the area of bourbon more than likely you will find it. the cocktails created from bourbon are amazing. always a special being served. live entertainment from gangster jazz, the night I was there. they also have cigars for sale and have a cigar room to smoke cigars. greatl, ventilation. a few appetizers are served as well.As some main dishes. definitely a pleasant experience.The sound was amazing inside there.The way the music echoed throughout the building.

If you know you know. Stop in here for an unbelievable experience with all the best bourbons (and full bar) and great service. We loved the live music. A must see.

I took a friend of mine here for drinks after a nice dinner, for some laid back adult time, and was soo surprised with the aesthetics and care so obviously put into this bar. We bought a flight to try some cocktails (mostly a knock out of the park) that I didn’t mind the price and the bartender himself was very sweet and attentive. We both loved the quieter atmosphere and are definitely going back soon!

A true hidden gem in the town of Rushville, Indiana !!! We celebrated my future daughter in laws bridal shower at this venue. The owners were amazing ! The atmosphere and character of the building is undeniably stunning! Anyone having a future event I would highly recommend contacting 1838 Bourbon and Wine Bar!!!! Thanks again & we will be back!
